Strengthening a Culture of Patient Safety and Continuous Improvement at RAKCODS
RAK College of Dental Sciences (RAKCODS) successfully conducted its Annual Patient Safety Training for all faculty and staff, delivered by Dr. Vivek Padmanabhan, Associate Professor of Pedodontics, Chairperson of Clinical Sciences, and Chairperson of Quality and Patient Safety.
The annual training aimed to reinforce the fundamental principles of patient safety, quality of care, risk awareness, professional responsibility, effective communication, and continuous improvement within the clinical and academic environment.
The session provided an important opportunity for faculty and staff to reflect on their shared responsibility in maintaining a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered environment, while strengthening a culture in which patient safety remains an integral part of everyday clinical practice.
The training was conducted as part of the KAIZEN Workshops for Professional Development, organized by the Human Resources Office, reflecting the institution’s commitment to continuous learning, quality enhancement, and ongoing professional development.
This initiative further supports the vision, mission, and core values of RAKCODS and RAKMHSU, emphasizing excellence, accountability, teamwork, and a sustained commitment to quality and patient safety.
